My Chemical Romance releases new jackets


My Chemical Romance has announced that it will release four individual band jackets with styles based on the world of Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys and as seen in the videos for their hit singles “Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)” and “Sing.” The jackets were designed by frontman Gerard Way and inspired by those created for the album packaging and music videos by Academy Award winning costume designer Colleen Atwood. The jackets will range in price from $89.99 to $99.99 and will be sold exclusively at http://www.mychemicalromance.com/.

Additionally, beginning this Friday, March 25th 2011, at midnight, 987FM will launch their “My Chemical Romance - 987FM.com Acoustic Sessions.” Every few nights, 987FM.com will unveil a live acoustic version of various fan favorites, including “SING”, “Cancer”, “The Ghost of You”, “Helena,” “I’m Not O.K. (I Promise),” and “Summertime.” (See full schedule below). These clips were shot in Los Angeles on January 21st, just days before the band kicked off their world tour in Japan.

My Chemical Romance is also set to launch the American leg of their World Contamination Tour beginning next Friday, March 31st, at the Fox Theatre in Oakland, CA. The New York Times recently raved about My Chemical Romance’s December show at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City, calling it “a terrific, thrusting show that felt bigger than even this big room.”
