Raised in Los Angeles, Charlie Hilton’s dreamy alt-folk sound has been a product of an ongoing infatuation with music. Growing up surrounded by some of the most seminal musicians of the 1970’s, Hilton began penning her lyrics and matching them with unique lo-fi textures at the age of 13. In 2006, Hilton co-fronted the popular band Charlie and Mearii playing gigs at some of the most influential venues in Los Angeles and building up a strong local following. Choosing to focus on her solo endeavors, Hilton headed into the studio to lay down her much anticipated self released EP with her band The Meemies whose tracks flaunt a vintage folk sound punctuated by Hilton’s atmospheric vocals.
